I am protesting the Silence Procedure for Pact For The Future, which ends September 3 at 1pm EST, as well as any adoption of the instrument beyond the silence procedure, at the Summit of the Future.

I Strongly Urge Countries To Break the Silence Procedure On UN Pact For The Future, and to reject the adoption of the instrument as well as the Declaration on Future Generations and the Global Digital Compact.

I object to the strengthening of United Nations rather than the full reforming or exiting of the failing organization!

Civil Society has not had a proper opportunity for meaningful participation because the UN overbooked and did not provide enough time for the proper inclusivity and participation of ALL relevant information from all interested and relevant stakeholders.

Thank you for your consideration of this URGENT matter as no Pact that affects all future generations, substantive rights of people and involves enormous investments or development deals should ever be allowed in the absence of meaningful participation from ALL interested and relevant stakeholders, with civil society involvement shrinking, and in the absence of political risk insurance.

This is especially important because there are scientific presumptions of a climate emergency and novel vaccine interventions which are still in dispute and unresolved.  This is unacceptable to move forward in these international agreements, considering the inclusion of all scientific stakeholders in the design of science-policy is a cultural right that UN themselves and international organizations are monopolizing by exclusion of all relevant stakeholders.

This bias in science is a problem that is noted by the UN Rapporteur for Cultural Rights, and this bias would be exacerbated through the adoption of the Pact For The Future and other instruments being negotiated for adoption at the Summit of the Future, which are clearly based in presumptions of science to drive large investments which may be disproportionate and unnecessary.  Adopting these instruments would further fracture the trust in multilateralism by rushing and I urge temperance due to the risk being far too great to justify adopting these instruments in this rushed manner at this time with the bulk of humanity unable to meaningfully participate in the design, approval and implementation of these policies which would affect them.

For these reasons, and for reasons affecting human rights in ways too numerous to mention, it is my wish and my firm demand that the Countries Delegations reject the Pact For The Future, Declaration on Future Generations and Global Digital Compact in entirety.

I appreciate your prompt assistance to ensure this input is given due consideration. Please ensure this correspondence is forwarded to all of the delegations to whom you are working with to finalize the intergovernmental negotiations for the Pact for the Future, and other instruments for the assurances of your highest consideration.
